The Blessings Of Wudu

1. Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) say, 'On the Day of Rising my community will be called 'those with white blazes on their foreheads and limbs' from the effects of wudu'. So whoever of you can increase the extent of the whiteness, should do so.'"

Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) said, "I heard my friend (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) say, 'The adornment of the believer reaches the places his wudu' reaches."

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, "Shall I direct you to something by which Allah will wipe out errors and raise degrees?' They said, "Yes please, Messenger of Allah." He said, "Doing thorough wudu in adverse circumstances, taking a lot of steps to the mosques and waiting for one prayer after another prayer. That is what you should hold to. That is what you should hold to."

Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, "When the Muslim - or believing - slave does wudu' and washes his face, every wrong thing at which his eyes have looked leaves with the water - or with the last drop of water. When he washes his hands, every wrong thing which his hands have touched leaves with the water - or with the last drop of water. When he washes his feet. every wrong thing to which his feet have walked leaves with the water – or with the last drop of water, until he emerges cleansed of sins."

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) came to the graveyard and said, 'Peace be upon you, abode of a believing people. Allah willing, we will join you. I wish that we could see our brothers.' They said, 'Are we not your brothers, Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'You are my Companions. My brothers are those who have not yet come.' They said, 'How can you know someone of your community who has not yet come, Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Do you not think that if a man had horses with white blazes which were among dark black horses, that he would recognise his horses?' They said, 'Yes indeed. Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'They will come with white blazes from wudu' and I will precede them to the Basin.'"

Abu Umamah (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, When a Muslim makes wudu the sins he has committed come away from his hearing and from his sight and from his hand and from his feet, so when he sits he sits down having been forgiven.

Abu Malik al-Ash'ari (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, Purification is half of Iman (belief). And 'alhamdulillah' fills the Scales. And 'subhanAllah' and 'alhamdulillah' fill whatever is between the heaven and the earth. And Prayer is a light. And Sadaqah is a clear proof. And Sabr (patience) is a shining light. And the Qur'an is a proof for or against you. Every person starts the day dealing for his own soul so he either sets it free or destroys it.

Uthman ibn Affan (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, "Anyone who does wudu and does it well, his mistakes leave his body, even from under his nails."

Uthman ibn Affan (رضي الله عنه) said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) do wudu like I am doing wudu now. Then he said, 'Anyone who does wudu' like that, will be forgiven his previous wrong actions, and his prayer and his walking to the mosque are an added bonus.'"

Ibn Umar (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, When one of you makes wudu and makes it well, then goes out to the mosque - having no purpose except Prayer - then his left foot continues to wipe away his evil deeds and his right foot continually writes for him good deeds until he enters the mosque. And if the people knew what there was in the night prayer and Subh prayers - then they would come to them even if they had to crawl.

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, Whoever makes wudu and makes it well then goes out - and then finds that the people have finished the Prayer - then Allah gives him the same reward as one who had prayed it along with the people without diminishing any of their reward.

12.
Zaid ibn Khalid al Juhani (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, Whoever makes wudu and makes it well, then prays two rak'ahs not letting his mind wander in them - then Allah forgives him all of his previous sins.

13.
Uqbah ibn Amir (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, Whoever makes wudu and makes it well, then prays two rak'ahs concentrating therein with his heart and his face - then Paradise is obligatory for him.

14.
Uthman ibn Affan (رضي الله عنه) reported that he heard the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) say Whoever makes wudu for Prayer and completes the wudu - then walks to the obligatory Prayer and prays it with the people - or with the congregation - or in the mosque - then Allah forgives his sins.

15.
Ali (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, Completing the wudu when it is a hardship, and walking to the mosque, and waiting for the next prayer after the previous one (greatly) washes away the sins.

16.
Humran ibn Aban relates that Uthman ibn Affan (رضي الله عنه) asked for water to make wudu - then he mentioned how the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) made wudu. Then he said: The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said at the end of the hadith Whoever makes wudu in the same way that I have just made wudu then stands up and prays two rak'ahs, not thinking of other things, then his previous sins are forgiven.

17.
Umar ibn al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) said, "No one among you does wudu and does wudu thoroughly – or adequately - and then testifies, 'There is no god but Allah Alone with no partner and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger' without the eight doors of the Garden being opened to him so that he can enter by whichever of them he wishes."
